Question: | Why does my flyer shift when I minimize the main form? |
Answer: | In an attempt to ensure that proper alignment was maintained within the child forms, when the main form was minimized, code was added to minimize all child forms. This code is not functioning properly and will be corrected in the first maintenance release. (Version 2.1.0). The prescribed work around for this situation is to save and reopen the flyer you are working on. This will correct the alignment issues. |

Question: | cannot save any headers i get error 70 or 53 |
Answer: | The two errors you described are file not found, and permission denied error. If you are using windows 2000 this error usually occurs because you haven't placed a logo in your header before you try to save it. Double click on the logo box in the header and select any image file you wish. After you have an image in the logo box you should be able to save without any errors. |

error 3219. |
Answer: | The error messages you are receiving when trying to save a flyer is occurring because you haven’t placed an image in the member logo box. Double click on the box to bring up the image selection tool. Once you have selected an image you should then be able to save the header. Question: | HOW DO YOU IMPORT "TIF" GRAPHIC FILES INTO FLYER?? |
Answer: | Presently, PartsPro 2002 supports the following image formats .bmp, .gif, & .jpg. We chose these formats because most graphics editing applications that ship with Windows can handle them. We do plan to include other graphics filters (to allow you to import .tif, .eps, etc.) if others users have similar needs. For now though, you should be able to convert your .tif image to .jpg using the Kodak IMAGING program that ships with Win98. Simply open the file, and SaveAs *.jpg. I will be posting this questionto the FAQ & Message board sections of our site to allow other users to give their opinions on this issue. Please let me know if you need any further assistance. |

Question: | When I try to save a header or template, I receive error 2147217900, The command contained one or more errors. I get an hourglass which does not go away.
I then created a header and template on another computer, but when I try to create a flyer, the flyer comes up blank. Neither the header nor the template shows up.
Help please. |
Answer: | Mary,
First, a word about the file structure of PartsPro 2002. The application is designed for single user operation. This means that when you save files in PartsPro 2002, you are saving those in your copy on your system. Headers and Templates are not currently interchangeable from PC to PC. You may, however, using the export command transfer flyers to/from other computers.
The other error messages that you are seeing have been addressed in a maintenance release that is currently available for download from our website. Please download and install this release, and let us know if you have any other problems.

Question: | How do we incorporate images of parts into a flyer? |
Answer: | To incorporate stock images into your flyers, simply double click on the parts image box. You can then pick a part using the vendor and part number. To incorporate your own images, you must first save them as a .gif, .jpg, or .bmp. Then double click on the parts image box, choose the imported images tab, and click import image. Follow the on screen steps. After the last step, you will be back where you started. Simply click OK, and your image will be inserted into the flyer. Also, there have been some changes to the import function in a posted maintenance release. The maintenance release is available for download at http://www.infinitechs.com/partspro2002/download.asp. Choose v2.1.0.
Let us know if you have any further troubles. |
